Often when I write songs, the meaning becomes clear later. Bruised Reed is a song that speaks to those who have been severely and carelessly used by others; namely those who have been the victim of child trafficking or any other abuse. Of course anyone who has been hurt in relationships can relate to the lyrics and find hope in a God who is near to those in need.
